ECONOMIC ASSESSMENT OF MEASURES TO REDUCE THE SHORTAGE OF FREIGHT WAGONS IN RAILWAY TRANSPORT

The article examines the economic consequences of the shortage of freight wagons. The relevance of this
problem for railway transportation is justified. The causes of the shortage of rolling stock are considered. The impact of
the deficit on costs and revenue is assessed. A decrease in the efficiency of fixed asset utilization is shown. Measures to
reduce the deficit are proposed. Their economic feasibility is substantiated.
