Abstract

In the face of increasing environmental problems, green construction has emerged as a key strategy for sustainable
development. The article examines whether business investment in research and development (R&D) promotes
green building practices.
We carefully identified and compared different combinations of conditions, such as the scale of R&D investments, regulatory
frameworks, and organizational commitment to sustainability, to examine their collective effects on the adoption and
development of green building techniques.
The findings reveal nuances in which high R&D investment is not always directly related to the implementation of green
building practices.
This study contributes to sustainable development by exploring the complex interplay between business investment regulatory
policies and environmental commitments in promoting green construction. Provides valuable insights for industry
stakeholders in promoting sustainable practices in the construction industry.
