Abstract

Tourism, a significant global economic activity, increasingly embraces sustainability to mitigate its environmental,
social, and economic impacts. This paper explores the nuanced distinctions and underlying principles of three
key concepts in responsible tourism: sustainable tourism, green tourism, and eco-tourism. Moreover, the paper provides
some recommendations and list of tasks that should be implemented in order to advance the development of sustainable
tourism, green tourism, and eco-tourism.
