Abstract

This article explores the critical role of tourism finance in advancing sustainability within the global travel and
tourism industry. As environmental degradation and climate change increasingly impact tourism destinations, the need
for green investment strategies becomes more urgent. The study investigates how targeted financing mechanisms can
support sustainable tourism development by funding eco-friendly infrastructure, promoting low-impact tourism models,
and empowering local communities. Using a qualitative research approach based on literature analysis, the paper
examines seven key sources of tourism finance, assessing their potential to contribute to long-term environmental, social,
and economic goals. The findings offer strategic recommendations for policymakers, investors, and tourism leaders to
align financial planning with sustainability objectives, ensuring resilient and inclusive growth for the tourism sector
